That weekends are too darn short!
Her contribution to Monday morning is a yawn from her toes while Simon is desperately trying to ignore Monday's presence by finding a toy to play with.
I'm not gonna lie, every time I see this pic it makes me yawn. That's probably a mean thing to do to you guys on a Monday. Sorry.
Psst! Hey, Simon--tell the little human that she can't pass until she gives us oats!
Somehow, I don't think they're emulating Robin Hood by robbing oats from the rich to give to the poor.
I caught Simon mid-binky and it looks like he's sitting in mid-air. He is the binky-est bunny we've ever had! A short time later...
River is tearing around the room attempting to achieve flight. I'm actually amazed that I caught her in frame for this pic. She gets props for being the quickest bunny we've ever had.
River hopped into my lap and tried to nose-bonk the camera. Naturally, I moved the camera away from her so she wouldn't get bunny hork on the lens when...
I caught Simon creeping towards the camera intending to do the exact same thing!
Bunnies are such curious (and devious) little things. They tried to make a game of touching the camera by pulling a divide and conquer on me!

With the Easter holiday season fast approaching, I felt it necessary to once again try to get the word out that bunnies aren't a good gift idea and should never be bought on a whim. Please help spread the word so there are fewer "fired" Easter bunnies this year.
Simon and River approve of this message because thinking of fired Easter bunnies makes them sad.
It took me a moment to realize that River had gotten stuck on her back when her bunny flop turned into a roll. I felt bad because here I am taking a picture while momentum has turned against her. No worries--we got her right-side up and she was a happy little camper after that!
I think Simon got a double dose of derpiness in his genes. Here he is mid-flop with his tongue sticking out showing us how special he is. Our little Simon bun is a constant source of amusement!
The bunnies managed to steal the Leprechaun's Lucky Charms and are now trying to figure out why they're "magically delicious". The fact that they're made from oats makes deliciousness obvious, but they strongly suspect the "magic" may have something to do with marshmallows and frosting.
I just had to include this pic--this is the look they put on as they saw my husband walk into the room. River has her patented "butter wouldn't melt" face. Simon is going with the ostrich head in the sand approach as if saying, "Box? What box?! Oh, you mean the one that happens to be right next to me. Huh, how did that get there?!" We hope you all have a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day!
It's been a long week and Simon is in dire need of a tummy rub, which is his new favorite thing (aside from oats).
The little guy will flop down like this and then give me the sad bunny look until he gets a tummy rub, which will make him purr like a cat. He is not a normal bunny because most aren't keen on getting tummy rubs.

We're bunnies and we need a cave.
The bunnies discovered how much fun towels can be when we made a game of covering them and letting them find their way out from under it. They'd circle around and stand on the towel staring at us with this look as if saying, "Ooh that was fun--do it again!"
Simon working his way out of the towel...
Simon: I'll save you!!! [pins River and the towel to the ground]
River: You're not helping, Simon.
I turn my back on them for five minutes and this is the sight that greeted me. I have no idea what seems to have gotten River's knickers in a twist, but it's clear that Simon isn't allowed onto her side of the couch until he apologizes for something.
It looks like Simon needs more lift as he taxis down the runway.
Lop bunnies are hilarious to watch as they run around--their ears are like floppy little wings. It always makes me smile, so I thought I'd try to brighten your Monday with this pic.
What you see here is a bunny standoff. This happens when Simon and River both feel that the other isn't grooming them enough and decide to pin whatever body part of the offender is closest. Standoffs can last several minutes, which is practically forever in their estimation of time.

Simon and River got to experience snow for the first time! We figured that it would be safest if we brought the snow to them rather than the other way around.
At first, they were a bit hesitant about this strange white stuff, but through the clever use of oats, they got over their initial misgivings pretty quickly.
River discovers that this white stuff is kinda cold on her little feet. She hopped out to get warm while Simon remained happily oblivious to the temperature.
Dig ALL the snow!!!
I think we've just discovered Simon's new favorite thing (aside from oats).
Simon was too busy with the discovery that you could also burrow through snow to realize that River was all warmed up and ready to play in the snow again. He didn't leave enough room for her to hop back in...
Which resulted in Simon being completely clueless as to why River was giving him "bunny butt". I told him not to hog all of the snow and let his sister play in it too.
Simon found that River playing in the snow was crimping his style so he left in a bit of a huff. Probably muttering something to himself about little sisters always getting in the way.
River: Haha! I claim this snow box in the name of ME!!! Simon:What?! No-no-no--I only hopped out of it for a second!
C'mon, let me back in. I'll play nice, I swear!
River: Have you noticed that our snow seems to be disappearing? Simon: Yes. We must have the humans fetch us more.
Wow. The customer service around here is never that quick! We should think about giving him a tip.
River: I can't believe he got our order wrong--he didn't bring back more snow!
