And then somebunny decides to blow a raspberry at the camera.

Looks can be deceiving.

Looking at Simon and River like this you'd never know that just 30 minutes prior they had a fight reminiscent of the OK Corral with tufts of bunny fur tumbling across the living room carpet and two little bunnies circling each other like a cat and dog fight in a cartoon.  Their impromptu rendition of a spaghetti western landed them both in bunny jail.
I then realized that it is really messed up when you're trying not to laugh while stopping a bunny fight because the scene is so comical that you can hardly take it seriously.  Honestly, all that was missing was the cheesy dramatic music!
As acting sheriff of the wild frontier that was our living room, I decided to pardon them.  They proceeded to make this heart-meltingly adorable apology to one another.
Why, bunnies?!  Why can't you just get along?!

I told Simon and River that I would start stacking stuff on them if they didn't start playing instead of napping.  They thought I was bluffing...

Then things devolved into a battle of wills.  Bunnies can be remarkably stubborn when confronted with the prospect of physical activity vs sheer laziness.  Challenge accepted!

I think after 10 minutes of random mannequin posing and photos, this was when Simon snapped...

He went full Night of the Lepus on the poor mannequin and dragged it away.

And stay there!

Human:  1

Hmm, maybe we should start River on agility training because she seems to enjoy using Simon as a hurdle.

The quest continues...

The bunnies are putting their heads together to try and find more oats.  Surely there must be some in this old oat container!

Sadly, no oats were to be found.  Simon is content to patiently stare at the oat container waiting for oats to appear while River is being a bit more productive with her time.

We've taken to hiding it on the coffee table because if it's left on the couch, the bunnies have an amazing knack for changing channels and settings by running over it.

I caught Simon whispering something to River.  Hopefully it wasn't something important regarding their attempts at bunny world domination because I think he forgot that she's deaf.

Hoppy 4th of July!

Given that Simon and River are vegetarians, they decided to have a picnic instead of the typical 4th of July barbecue.  Simon is being a good little bunny and eating his greens while River has opted to skip directly to dessert.

The bunnies were slightly disappointed that they didn't get sparklers but given how they're trying to operate the pinwheel, I think we made the right choice.

I caught Simon binkying sideways over River (even she looks surprised).  His happiness wasn't fully expressed with a single binky...

So he immediately did another!

Thinking outside the box.

Simon has come up with a unique solution to cleaning his ear.  Instead of trying to grab his wayward ear with his front paws, he is pinning his ear in place with his hind foot and cleaning it that way.  Bunny ingenuity!
