Sometimes life IS a dress rehearsal.
You're thinking that this is just a picture of a bunny cleaning, but in reality, I've captured Simon practicing his method acting skills! What's really going on:
"Please, human, could I have some treats?"
Hmm, no. Not enough emotion. How about...
[Gasp!] "Well, I declare, if I don't get treats soon, I might swoon from hunger!"
Hmm, close but I think I can really make the humans feel my plight if I just...
"Oh, the humanity!!! Can no one help this poor little bunny get some treats?!"
Ha! Nailed it!

Simon is unafraid to speak his mind.
I, for one, think it's been a long week and I'm glad it's Friday.
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a great weekend! We'll be back on Monday.

Her Royal Highness.
River sits on her usurped throne, Queen of all she surveys.
I was looking through some old photos and found one that was taken just before a big storm with high winds was about to hit. River decided to make the most of this new furniture.

Thrills and spills.
Our resident danger buns have learned how to slide on carpet.
Which is fine until...
Somebun misjudges their stopping distance and the game transforms into one of chicken followed by leap-frog. Thankfully, no bunnies were hurt in their pursuit of a fun time.

Bunny schadenfreude.
Simon: [bunny smirk] Ha! I'm not the only one who gets caught on camera rolling over!
River: I totally meant to do that.
Awkward!
I'm so gonna tell the big human that this living room isn't big enough for the two of us...he's standing right behind me, isn't he?

Little ball of bunny cuteness.
I just had to share this one--look at those little cheeks!

The face of bunny guilt.
This is the look he gave me after he was busted for bowling over his little sister while trying to steal her oats. I honestly don't know how he thought that could've worked out well for him.

Happy feet!
Simon is binkying right for us!
If you look closely, you can see a levitating bunny butt in the mirror behind him.

Bunnies and sunshine.
Never let it be said that this blog has false advertising.
In other news, the bunnies are perplexed by the humans' fascination with sunlight. Yes, it is made of warm but it also makes your eyes squinty and napping more difficult. They would like to go on record as saying that sunshine is highly overrated.

That's not how this works!
Simon got a little confused about how the hurdle works. He went under it and dragged it across the living room floor like a yoke on an ox.
After freeing him of his burden, he figured it out on his own...and proceeded to jump back and forth over it about 5 times in a row like a little fuzzy metronome. The only way to get him to stop was to make with the oats! Which caught River's attention...
Expecting oats for jumping out of Simon's cage after funking up his toilet is not how any of this works! Well, at least she managed to work the hurdle on the first try gaining oats for herself, so all's well that ends well.

Cleaning! Cleaning! Cleaning!
Annnd flop!
I love the progression of River using Simon as an arm-rest and his face getting smooshed.Poor little guy thought that if he positioned himself directly under her that she'd start cleaning him too. Unfortunately, he didn't factor in how tiring manic cleaning can be.

And then depression set in...
It took them two and a half long years to finally kill their pyramid toy--its poor little rattle-y center spilled out on their purple towel as a sacrifice to bunny fun.
They were completely inconsolable for a span of 5 minutes.
Then they got oats. After that, it was as if the whole incident never even happened.
Bunnies really are resilient little creatures!
