Hoppy Halloween!

Overall, I'd have to say that Simon and River tolerated their first real costumes pretty well.  Giving them both a hay cube probably helped.
See, they really were under there (for a grand total of 20 seconds):

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a safe and Happy Halloween as well as an awesome weekend!  We'll be back on Monday.

Mystery solved!

I was wondering what was causing the smudges on the coffee table glass and caught Simon in the process of depositing copious amounts of bunny hork.  The little guy was so focused on his task that he almost tranced himself and fell over backwards.  That's our loveable goofy glass-licking bunny!

He did this on purpose.

Notice how Simon makes a real effort to keep my attention distracted from River's mischief.  Sneaky little buns!

That didn't take long.

Simon is the first to christen the new box fort with a bunny derp.

Wishful thinking.

Monday will never find me under here!

Don't knock it 'til you try it!

Simon and River have very different reactions when exposed to something new.  They both learned that it's important to try new foods because you never know how yummy something is until you taste it.

Here he comes to save the day!

Superbun is on his way!
Simon and River's superhero training montage.
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a great weekend!  We'll be back on Monday.

King and Queen of Hearts.

I made Simon and River a new box fort.  I think it's safe to say that they approve.

Lookin' goofy.

Simon attempts to lick his chin.  This time he didn't become somersault bun in the process.  You laugh, but he's managed it before and it's only a matter of time before I catch him on video doing it--I have patience!

I need a bunny to human dictionary.

The propeller ears and serious bunny face make me worried that Simon is contemplating leaving more than his fur on our couch (which would be a definite first for either of them).
I have no idea what I did to offend him and River seems determined to stay neutral so I've lost my best hope for an interpreter.

Wiggly bunny noses!

I thought a little bit of bunny contentment may help make your Monday a little brighter.

Somebun's jealous.

I think Simon's kicking himself for not thinking of hopping onto my lap sooner.  He'll have to wait for River to be done chinning my sweater before he can have a turn.
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have an awesome weekend!  We'll be back on Monday.

If at first you don't succeed...

Try...
Try again...
And again...
And again some more...
Then consult an expert...
Follow the expert's advice and succeed!
River, being fun-sized, fits pretty much anywhere.  Simon, not so much.

Simon's new best friend.

I was going through some old videos when I found one of Simon giving bunny kisses to a bunny plushie.  I had picked the little guy up and plonked him next to me to keep him from bickering with his sister, River.  He then decided to prove what a good little bun he was so he could leave "time-out" sooner.  Here's the video:

Happy little bun!

A bit of bunny joy binkying your way!  Plus a bonus bunny smile with a side of propeller ears because that's our Simon bun.

Happy Poor Navigation Day!

I think it has a nice ring to it (and is probably a bit more accurate than historical accounts given by the man himself).  Granted, the map makers could've focused a bit more on cartography than drawing mythological characters to make the maps look pretty, but my point still stands.

Simon's magic carpet ride.

It seems this method of transportation isn't nearly as magical as the folks at Disney would have you believe.
River felt it necessary to point out that there were two humans to tell them no and where to go, so this wasn't really a whole new world either.
Simon would also like to add that the feeling was quite describable--namely, being dragged across the carpet on a purple towel.
I think the bunnies take things too literally sometimes.

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a great weekend!  We'll be back on Monday.

Busted!

Simon:  Oooh!  What's up here?
River:  Uh...I told him not to?
River isn't a very good accountabilibunny.

A kiss goodnight.

I'm not sure why Simon decided to use the base of the floor lamp as a pillow, but he was snoozing hard when River decided to give him bunny kisses.  The little guy wore himself out binkying up a storm during playtime.

The shunning.

I'm being studiously ignored for my part in the crime of clipping their nails.  My offense is so heinous that they won't even give me "bunny tail" because they want to be able to make a break for it if I come after them again.  Recidivism is high for this particular crime (every 6 weeks), making the bunnies wonder why the justice system is so broken.  To top it all off, they have to suffer the indignity of smelling like human!

Land's end.

The bunnies strike a dramatic pose after reaching the end of their Great Couch Expedition.  Not quite as impressive as Lewis and Clark's journey, but close.
They did have to jump from the couch to the loveseat while avoiding the perils of stepping on the remote control and travel through territory inhabited by bunny plushies.
Their hard work and perseverance paid off because they're enjoying a spectacular view of the entertainment center.

Sleepy little buns.

Simon and River have had a productive day.  They knocked over the oat container then took their toy truck for a spin and now it's time for a nap!
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a great weekend!  We'll be back on Monday with another installment of bunny cuteness.

Geronimo!

Once again River proves that she's a kitten trapped in a bunny's body due to her love of leaping off high places.
If you look closely, you'll see Simon attempting to scale the back of the couch.  The operative word here is attempting.  It's just as well that he didn't make it because he'd be up there all by himself.

Clandestine bunny snuggle.

I noticed that it was way too quiet so I went on a bunny hunt.  This is how I found them.
