The hero our living room deserves.

We had a bit of late night drama recently.  I heard thumping, a food dish flipping over and one of the bunnies crashing into their litter box.  I went to investigate and found Simon with his eyes as wide as saucers staring at the entryway.  I looked over and saw a slug as long as the palm of my hand slowly making its way towards the carpet (no idea how it got inside).  Clearly, Simon was being a good little sentry and warning us of the danger of an uninvited garden guest.
Here I am showing him what he was so afraid of.

Simon was intrigued by Mr. Slug and attempted to give his new friend a nose-bonk (ever the polite little bun).  Fearing him getting slimed, I made a tactical retreat with our new guest and let him keep the paper he had claimed with his slug hork as a parting gift.

So close and yet so far...

Simon is not nearly as good at hide-and-seek as he thinks he is.

Floppin' Friday!

I figured we'd end the week on a relaxing note of snuggles with a side of bunny belly.  If there's anything bunnies are connoisseurs of, it's relaxation.

I had the idea of hiding a bunny in a watercolor painting and this was the result.  Originally, it was a Mother's Day gift and I decided to see if she could spot the bunny without knowing to look for one.  I hid the bunny well enough that it went undetected!
I posted it on a few things at the Bunnies and Sunshine Store if anyone's interested.

Laying their head across the others' back is how Simon and River let each other know that they've assumed command of the living room and are on sentry duty so the other can take a nap if they want to.

Fascinating!

Bunnies are strange and mysterious little creatures.  I have no idea what Simon and River think they're looking at, but they were completely transfixed by that stretch of wall for way longer than they should've been.

Yes, River would have me believe that telekinesis is just another one of Simon's superpowers.

I caught our mighty hunter tackling the banana plushie.  It was impressive--Simon leapt from the box and went into a rolling flop taking the banana with him for some aggressive noms.  His only regret was that it wasn't a real banana.

Where'd the weekend go?

Simon and River can't believe that it's Monday already.
They then blamed it on me as though I have control over the passage of time.  I'm now in time-out and have had my couch privileges revoked until further notice.  Bunnies take relaxation seriously.

Hoppy Mother's Day!

Goodnight kisses after a bedtime story are just some of the things us kids are grateful for.  Wishing all the moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day.

I think I blew Simon and River's minds when I set our old dresser mirror in front of the mirror wall resulting in bunnies all the way down.  Also, for your viewing pleasure...
