It's good to know that Simon's Superbun's imagination is just as strong as ever.

I thought River was up here.
Poor little Simon always gets tricked into hopping up on the couch and when he does, River will hop down at the exact same time.  He's always so confused whenever his playmate just disappears like that.  I swear she makes a game of it and never bothered to tell him the rules!

We trusted you.

...And then you clipped our nails.  We're not angry, just disappointed.
You'll notice the scoop of oats we're completely ignoring right now even though it is our most favorite treat in the whole wide world.  Good day to you, Madam.  WE SAID GOOD DAY!

But I was here first!

This is River staging a flop-in protest because I scooted her over so I could clean her litter box.  She cranked the drama up to 11 with a flop so hard she almost bounced and then proceeded to use the garbage bag as a pillow.  Oh, bunnies!

Emotional blackmail.

Simon and River think that if they look cute and sad enough, we won't clip their nails this weekend.  I think this pic shows that River has perfected her 'Do we have to?' look.

Sometimes Simon does so much work before he starts the day that he forgets to start the day.

Throwback Thursday.

I was scrolling through old photos and found this one of Simon and River when they were one year old.  I think River woke him up with a nose-bonk to the tummy to make his ears do that!

Not cool.

Simon and River don't understand why it has to be warm for half of the year.  I then had to tell them that wild bunnies don't have central air.  Simon was horrified to learn that it could be warmer than 77°F (25°C).  He is now thinking of how to help the wild bunnies once he gets elected President. 

It's all fun and games until...

The top flap on the big box came down and Simon felt the need to run for his life.  River saw Simon bolt and looked like she was thinking, "What did I miss?"

After I fixed the box flap, Simon decided that the whole set-up required a safety inspection.  It took him a few minutes to army crawl up to the boxes before deeming them fit to play in again.

River, completely unphased by the box flap drama, immediately hopped up onto the small box to survey her kingdom.  Simon, ever the cautious one, kept circling the boxes to be sure that they didn't eat his sister.

Bunny condolences.

We at Bunnies and Sunshine offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives yesterday at the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.  We also hope that those injured are able to make a quick and full recovery.  We would like to offer our thanks to all of those who helped the injured be they civilian first responders, police, fire and EMS workers as well as those working in the surrounding hospitals.  Our thoughts are with you.

I can't help but smile every time I see our little bumblebun's ears flap like wings as he bounces across the room.  The effect is even better when he starts buzzing because he's super excited for a favorite treat!

We're multitasking!
Simon and River have combined nap time and snuggle time in their busy schedule so they have more playtime.

He took my spot!

River is a bit jealous that Simon managed to sit in the missing shoes spot before she could.  After all, he knows that she just loves shoes and it is the best place to check out all the shoes because you're surrounded by them!
I wish I could've caught the next instant because they looked like a pair of mismatched bunny slippers as they sat side by side amongst the shoes.  I think Simon realized his error and beat feet out of there pretty quick.

A quiet moment.

Scruffy buns.

River is so done with shedding right now.  Her butt fluff makes it look like she's wearing pants, which is just silly.  Simon tries to comfort her because he knows that the struggle is real.

Simon saw River kissing her mirror bun and was shocked that when he tried to give her kisses too, he ended up kissing his own mirror bun.

River is looking pretty proud of moving the big box all by herself.
In other news, Simon (aka Mr. Thumpypants) is now afraid of the big box because it moved all by itself.
