This is River protesting me cleaning her cage.  She looks on in disapproval and refuses to move her little butt from the corner so I can finish cleaning.

Simon thinks he's being sneaky by flopping like this and pretending to be asleep as soon as he sees me in the morning.

The magic box!

Our little eclipse buns were super jazzed about using the deluxe camera obscura I made.  I think I used all of the tape.  I made the triangular overhang so I could take pics in there.

One of the pics from the 'magic box' where you can see some clouds being illuminated.  We weren't in the zone of totality.  The clouds LOL'd at us pretty hard and blocked our view at exactly the peak of the eclipse.  Overall, a really neat experience!

We regret nothing.

Behold the faces of two scolded bunnies.  Simon and River proved less than helpful while I was constructing a camera obscura so we could view today's eclipse.  They decided that my testing of the device wasn't scientifically rigorous enough and initiated 'destructive taste-testing' protocol.

Friday update: Sending hugs and comfort.

We just heard of the attacks in Barcelona, Spain and Turku, Finland.  Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives.  We wish the injured a full and quick recovery.

We also wanted to thank all those who help others in times of peace and in those of crisis.  You're the ones who make this world a better place for everyone to live in.

I sometimes wonder what it is that bunnies talk about when I find Simon and River like this.  They seem pretty deep in conversation judging by the attentive and thoughtful looks they're sharing.

River takes their bedtime hay distribution very seriously.  As my supervisor, she demands at least one big fluffy-topped piece of hay before I can go to bed (because they are super awesome and yummy).

River thinks that the world needs a bit more love and kindness in it.  Even though she and Mr. Giraffe haven't always seen eye-to-eye, she's willing to be the change she wants to see in the world and figured that a bunny kiss would be a good place to start.
