...So this is what it's like to wake up not dreading what fresh horror has come spilling out of our President's mouth today.  Neat-o!

It's good to have a distraction while waiting to watch the inauguration.

The waiting is the hardest part.

The bunnies (like the rest of us) warily wait for the inauguration of Joe Biden tomorrow and hope there aren't any last-minute human shenanigans to have to deal with.  Just 36 more hours...

We were watching a show on TV where a bison head-butted a truck and tried to flip it over.  Naturally, River thought this was a great idea and decided to test her mettle against the dump truck.

Simon:  I got scared and wouldn't stop thumping so the little human picked me up and gave me noogies until I wasn't scared anymore.

Yeah, after the second time of playing 5,200 pellet pick-up, I decided that paper towels are my friends.  They make it waaaay easier to get the pellets back into the dish so River doesn't lose them forever.  She is not a mighty hunter and we worked too hard to get the weight back on her for her to lose it again over something this stupid.

The bunnies are both angry and severely disappointed at Trump and the humans he incited to insurrection at the Capitol building today as Congress was in the process of certifying the electoral college vote.

If you take away anything from the events of today, it should be that Democracy is fragile and it must be defended from those who would refuse a peaceful transition of power to a legitimately elected successor.

No one can steal your food dish if you keep one paw in it!

All we can figure is that before we brought them home, there was another bunny or a human that took Simon's food dish away and this severely traumatized the little fella.  To this day, I always show him the empty food dish before taking it away from him.

Treats?

I'm pretty sure that Simon would survive on nothing but dried papaya, banana chips, and berries if we let him.  The little dude would be spherical.  It's hard to say 'no' to that little face, but we do what we must!
