Good news!

Morning noogies and back rubs for my good little eater!  River has even started to eat some harder foods like the baked Oxbow digestive biscuits and their apple-banana-timothy hay cookies so long as I break them into smaller pieces for her.  Yay--eat the food! 🎉

Little Princess.

At some point overnight, River got impatient with her food and somehow managed to pull almost the entire wedge of food paste off of her plate and into her 'spaceship'.  Now she has a bit of rabbitude because it's harder to eat this way.

Her Royal Highness wishes to be hand-fed by her loyal servant today.  Ah well, at least the old gal is eating, so I’m happy to oblige!

That's a thumpin'!

The moment Simon realized that it was probably a bad idea to use his sister as a ramp to launch himself off of.  No amount of 'hang time' is worth River's wrath!

Speed racer!

I'd forgotten how much Simon loved racing through all of the doors in the box fort.  Every once in a while, he'd try his luck with one of the windows and meet with varied success at squeezing through at high speed. 😅

Domestic bliss.

River has snacks and her own personal frozen water bottle, so she has no idea that we have no AC and it's 90F (32C) outside right now with wildfire smoke.  She is comfy and living her best life!  Fingers crossed they can get the repair work done before the temps are back in the 90s later this week. 🌞🔥

Bunny care tip:  A frozen 16.9 oz (500mL) soda bottle filled to the top of the label, wrapped in paper towel and nestled in wood shavings on two sides for insulation will still be half frozen after 10 hours at 79F (26C).

Edit for more temp and frozen water bottle time:

A frozen 16.9 oz (500mL) soda bottle filled to the top of the label, wrapped in paper towel and nestled in wood shavings on two sides for insulation will be 60F (15.5C) completely melted but cool to the touch after 13 hours at 81F (27C).
