Yes, the social contract must be maintained! If I have to give medicine or help clean yuck from their fur/nails, both bunnies get a treat (usually a sprig of mint or lemon balm).
River had just had some ear drops for an ear infection, but she's doing better now.
Elder bunny care tip: A folded towel placed over an open cage door and snugly tucked in at the sides can serve as a ramp if your bun's balance is a bit wobbly.
Lool they both know it's time for a treat! I love how Simon just knows he's getting a treat because his sis is getting ear drops! Glad to hear she is doing okay btw! They look desperate for the treat! Between Simon's teefs and River lips, I don't know which looks goofier!
I love how Simon always goes full drama bun as if he's saying, "Don't forget about meeeee!" Honestly, they act as if I don't feed them whenever treats are in the offing. ;)
So true! If nothing else, I hope the treats provide a morale boost and help them understand that being picked up for medical/welfare stuff isn't all bad.

Yeah after feeling icky they definitely deserve treats so that they get all better. Medicine helps out a lot, but treats are the real cure!
