Apollo and Naomi went to the vet on Monday for their RHDV2 boosters and check-ups. Baby Apollo now weighs 2.2 pounds and Naomi clocks in at 4.8 pounds. Everything went well and they even gave the little munchkins baby carrots as a snack for being such good little girls! (This was Apollo's first taste of carrot and she absolutely loved it.)
Cheers to the bravest girls in the world! It's amazing how a couple of pound make the size difference abysmal. I think Apollo is going to become a big fan of vet visits, because everytime she's there she is showered with treats and attention!

DeleteIt really is crazy how much a couple pounds difference makes in terms of bunny size! Everyone was oooh-ing and ah-ing over both of them, so their little bunny egos were definitely fed (along with their tummies). :)
I was a bit torn as to who got Mr. Giraffe as their vet buddy, but figured the baby should get him this trip. Baab seemed the best alternate due to his size if he was going into Naomi's carrier.
They are both so brave and deserve lots of treats for their healthy habits for getting their vaccines!
ReplyDeleteI love how Mr. Giraffe has his whole neck around Apollo to comfort her and Baab is snuggled up next to Naomi the way Amos used to do, what great support buddies!

DeleteThey really were and we're so glad that they're both completely vaccinated now given how bad the mosquitoes have been around here lately!
The vet and vet techs were like, "Oh--they both have little friends with them in their carriers!" The hug and snuggle size determined who went in each carrier. The little munchkins were very popular with everyone there! We're really lucky to have found such a great new vet office to take them to (their old vet retired and they don't do exotics anymore). :)
