That morning, she was being sneaky and got past me while I was giving her breakfast and I didn't have the gate up yet. Thankfully, she listened to me about how going up the stairs is the easy part and that she'd have to figure out how to get back down or I'd have to carry her (she hates being picked up). Given her general clumsiness, I do not trust girlfriend on the stairs!
