Bunny curiosity.

Poor little Simon bun can't escape the paparazzi when he does something silly!
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

This tongue's for you!

River is unafraid of letting me know exactly what she thinks about me playing the role of paparazzi.  Simon either enjoys the attention or is resigned to his fate...kinda hard to tell sometimes.

And what do we say to rolling over?

Not today!
Simon pulled off a miraculous recovery when he flopped a little too hard and started to roll over.  I give the little fella credit for sheer determination and flexibility.

Bunny problem solving.

Step #1:  Identify the source of the problem.
Here, Simon's ear is in River's face causing an interruption in bunny snuggles.
Step #2:  Apply a creative solution to the problem.
Here, River takes the bold approach of shoving her entire face into Simon's ear thereby implementing an alternative snuggle solution.

Simon gets a new nickname!

He shall henceforth alternatively be known as Sir Derps-A-Lot.  Really, it was the only logical choice.
In other news, River is still shedding (if the white fluff near our newly knighted bun's head is anything to go by).

Another happy customer.

Uh, Simon...You aren't just going to leave my fur like this, are you?!  It looks like I was playing with electricity!  Will you stop licking your paw and get back to work?  [sigh] This is coming out of your tip.

Thinking outside the box.

Simon has come up with a unique solution to cleaning his ear.  Instead of trying to grab his wayward ear with his front paws, he is pinning his ear in place with his hind foot and cleaning it that way.  Bunny ingenuity!

A rolling bunny derp!

Simon really outdid himself this time by showing an epic amount of bunny tongue during his roll-over.
It must take a lot of concentration to look both cute and goofy at the same time.

A job well done.

Simon has a cartoonish bunny smile of satisfaction after remodeling their bunny fort.
Poor little guy has some interesting fur patterns due to going through a heavy shed right now.

Happy Easter!

Simon and River didn't think that the chocolate Easter bunny looked like them so I had to come up with an alternative Easter gift.  They found the miniature versions of themselves acceptable (though they would've preferred statues to truly capture them in all of their bunny glory).
A close-up of the miniatures next to a dime.
I made them 1/12 scale.  The color is a bit different from Simon and River's actual fur due to them both going through a heavy shed right now.
I had to include this pic--I'm amazed that he stayed still long enough for me to stack all of these on him.  River made a game of this by coming over and nose-bonking the Easter eggs off of his back.
We hope you have a very Happy Easter and if you don't happen to celebrate this particular holiday, we hope you have a great Sunday!

I don't always lie like this...

But when I do, it means that I just rolled over.
(Simon assures me that he totally meant to roll over.  I assure you that I always have to look up lay vs lie in hopes of being grammatically correct--and without fail, I always choose incorrectly.)

So much derp!

I think Simon got a double dose of derpiness in his genes.  Here he is mid-flop with his tongue sticking out showing us how special he is.  Our little Simon bun is a constant source of amusement!

Bunny tongue!

I'm not sure if Simon is blowing a raspberry at River or if this is his subtle way of telling her that she missed a spot while cleaning.

Simon forgot how to rabbit.

Uh, I don't think that looks right.  I'm no expert, but I guess that he:
1) Lost control of his rear end going as fast as he was.
2) He couldn't decide whether to run or do a binky and attempted to do both simultaneously.
3) He was attempting the world's first bunny cartwheel.
Well, if anything the little guy has mad balancing skills because he didn't face-plant into the purple towel after this derp-tastic display!
