Bunny care tip: A frozen 16.9 oz (500mL) soda bottle filled to the top of the label, wrapped in paper towel and nestled in wood shavings on two sides for insulation will still be half frozen after 10 hours at 79F (26C).
Edit for more temp and frozen water bottle time:
A frozen 16.9 oz (500mL) soda bottle filled to the top of the label, wrapped in paper towel and nestled in wood shavings on two sides for insulation will be 60F (15.5C) completely melted but cool to the touch after 13 hours at 81F (27C).

Let her also lay in a tile floor, bunnies seem to love that during summer! Also, this darling needs some sunglasses to stay 'cool' (hehe)
Glad to see that River was living like an Empress in the desert over the past few days because of the heat wave, good to see her happy eating treats and staying cool!
Hi Mónica!
Yeah, we've tried the tile thing, but she's a little princess about it and desires a softer flopping spot even when it's too hot in here. I'm just glad that she's good about hanging out in her 'spaceship' with the ice bottle next to her--it's the little victories! Now I'm going to have to go on a hunt for bunny sunglasses... ;)
Hi Tarosagi!
We're so happy (relieved) that the ice bottle trick is working out and that the little munchkin is staying hydrated and eating well! At least one of us is as cool as a cucumber in here. :)
