A little help here?

In a bold move, Simon uses an unwitting River to get the kleenex box off of his head.

Simon learns to trust, but verify.

We're beginning to think that River has told him that we hide oats in the kleenex box.  We can't come up with any other explanation why the little guy can't resist the siren call of sticking his entire head in there.  This is also why he can never be left alone in a room with this particular toy out.

He did this on purpose.

Notice how Simon makes a real effort to keep my attention distracted from River's mischief.  Sneaky little buns!

Simon's having a rough Monday.

Poor Simon got his head stuck inside the kleenex box and had to be rescued.  We think his ears were out in a propeller-like fashion, which prevented him from extricating himself.  Then...

He nearly fell over backwards inspecting the bottom of our dining room chair.  If you look closely, he's balancing on his heels as he struggles to remain upright in this pic.

Sometimes, you just need a hug and a reminder that tomorrow will be a better day.
