River was already flopped in the prime real estate next to Simon's cage, so this was his creative solution to the "Where do I flop?" question.
He started out with just his leg draped over her and then decided to shove his head under hers for the perfect snuggle.  Clearly, bunny snuggles are very scientific.

I then became the super villain for interrupting his efforts.  Apparently, it's now all my fault that mirror bun is languishing in his glass prison.

Our complaint department.

It's been brought to our attention that the little human epically goofed up on Sunday night by posting Tuesday's offering of bunny cuteness prematurely, then reverting it to draft so it disappeared.  So, we interrupt our regularly scheduled nap time to bring you this post.
We told the little human that we weren't mad, just disappointed...and sleep deprived.  We got overtime pay in the form of oats, so there's that.

This tongue's for you!

River is unafraid of letting me know exactly what she thinks about me playing the role of paparazzi.  Simon either enjoys the attention or is resigned to his fate...kinda hard to tell sometimes.

The big human constantly lets his guard down in my presence.  He suspects nothing.

Well, I guess I'll just use this perfectly empty food dish as a pillow.  You know what would make it softer?  Pellets.
Simon attempts to gaslight me into thinking I haven't already fed him today.

I can just picture Simon whistling innocently after eating River's romaine.
You'd think she'd learn that unattended food in her brother's presence has a suspicious habit of going missing.
I ended up giving her another romaine leaf once playtime was over.  She then had the audacity to look at me as if I was the lettuce thief who had a change of heart.  Simon is a convincing little actor!

Beach bun.

I was looking through old pics on my computer and found this one of our old girl, Penny.  We had taken her with us on our beach vacation.
Here she is relaxing in the air conditioning and far away from her arch nemesis the seagull.  Seriously, whenever she would hear one, she'd make a mad dash to burrow her face under the nearest human, her little fluffy butt sticking out for the world to see.  Classic bunny logic:  If she couldn't see the seagull, the seagull couldn't see her.

I feel bad for causing these looks of bunny confusion and disappointment.

Simon and River thought the camera in my hands was their oat scoop so they stood up to beg for treats.

This pic was snapped at the moment they figured out what I was actually holding as they slowly lowered themselves back to the ground.  It's like they're both saying, "I thought she had oats."

Not to worry--I restored their faith in me by giving them treats and noogies! 

I've made a terrible mistake.

Upon realizing that the box she just hopped onto was structurally unsound, River contemplates whether or not her fate will be that of Wile E. Coyote.

4th of July 2015!

The bunnies wanted to play with fireworks, but we managed to talk them into playing with sparklers instead.

I love how River is staring at me as if it's my fault that the box she's standing on is slippery.  She refused to hop off of it and instead decided that giving me that baleful look as her front feet kept sliding forward would somehow change things.
