River was trying to get a sleepy Simon to play tag.  When the bunny kisses didn't work, she escalated to nudging him and then to using him as a speed bump.  Simon was out like a light.  The little dude works hard (double sentry duty) and sleeps harder!

Mondays.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  Funny how a disheveled little bun and giraffe butt really encapsulate the spirit of Monday.

River does a victory lap while her exhausted competitors fall by the wayside.

Lagomorph lexicon.

The bunnies were so insistent for breakfast this morning that the phenomenon really needed its own word.  Naturally, I started compiling a bunny dictionary.
 
bun·gry \ˈbəNGɡrē\ adj. 1:  an uncontrollable craving for pellets and treats that must be fulfilled immediately  2:  a physical state in which non-verbal communication is required to hasten pellet dispersal by any human in the vicinity  Simon and River find binkying and playing bungry work.

A short while later, a new word was added to the list:
 
bung·o·ver \ˌbəNGɡˈōvər\ adj.  suffering from a pellet, treat, and/or greens-induced food coma  Simon and River were bungover after breakfast.  

Simon the Uncertain.

Somebun was a bit jealous of the kisses Mr. Giraffe got yesterday.  River decided to show Simon that he's still her #1 bun by giving extra kisses and snuggles.

Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.  We wish the injured a full and quick recovery and want to thank the first responders and everyone who helped others in their time of greatest need.
It is way past time for our government representatives to actually openly discuss the problem of a serious lack of mental health care for those who need it and gun regulations in this country.  Any politician who isn't part of the discussion is part of the problem.  Ignoring a problem will not fix it.  Please contact your representatives about these issues and tell them what you want done.

With great comfort comes great responsibility.

Simon suddenly remembers why bunnies shouldn't flop too hard.

Simon:  We'll just say he did that too.

This is the response the bunnies give me when they're being lazy and I try to get them to exercise a bit.  Clearly, humans just don't understand that warm and cozy snuggle time >>> zoom around the room time.

Bunny embarrassment.

Once again, I embarrass poor little Simon bun by catching his silliness on camera.  For a second there, I thought I'd have to help him right himself.  Tonic immobility is no fun at all!  No worries--the little fella was okay afterwards.
