Simon is reinforcing the perimeter and has declared his stronghold a yucky medicine-free zone.

Thankfully, that yucky medicine kicked in enough for him to do his little construction project and he's eating on his own again.  I'm pretty sure this was not the kind of attention he thought River was getting last week when she spent all day on the couch.
