I caught that "Oh, no!" look on Simon's face when he thought he was about to roll over.

It's time for hay!

River is a bunny who loves her hay--it's as fun to crawl under as it is to eat!  Our little hay aficionado thinks that the best hay is always on the bottom of the pile.

The dump truck is the best toy ever!  You can nom on it, you can push it and you can throw it wherever you want (sometimes into your little sister).  River is a bit gun-shy with the dump truck and wonders why we allow Simon to play with it.

Fluffiest bunny snuggle ever!

Seriously, we just vacuumed that rug yesterday.  So much fluff!  We're amazed River has any fur left given how much I've brushed, plucked and petted off of her.

River is remarkably unimpressed with the shedding and would like me to add that there is no way all of that is hers.  Clearly, the white fur is Simon's.
Nice try, River, but I'm not buying it.

Color me impressed.

River is proving to be a criminal mastermind by stealing hay from Simon's closed cage.  She's becoming a bun burglar!

Persistence pays off.

Sometimes Simon's ear has a mind of its own when it's cleaning time.  This time his tricksy ear evaded capture (it was a swing and a miss)!

The look of concentration.  Oooh--almost got it!

This is not my ear.  How did it get away?!  It was just there a second ago!

Ha--victory is mine! 

Simon learns to trust, but verify.

We're beginning to think that River has told him that we hide oats in the kleenex box.  We can't come up with any other explanation why the little guy can't resist the siren call of sticking his entire head in there.  This is also why he can never be left alone in a room with this particular toy out.

It's sleepy time.

Simon and River had an impromptu race to the end of the purple towel, but I missed catching them for a photo finish.  I am no longer allowed to be their line judge.

The bunnies started off using me to play London Bridge, then River decided she wanted a piggyback ride.  I love how Simon looks slightly horrified by River's actions.

One bun on a mission...

Not quite sure what the mission is exactly, but I'm sure it'll involve cuteness and bunny fluff in some way.

I wish I had captured this on video--Simon was purring up a storm and was leaning into my husband's hand.  When River saw what a boneless little pile of fluff Simon was turning into, she decided to place her order by nose-bonking my husband's arm then impatiently waited for her turn.

I just cleaned that!

Simon remembers the glorious morning where he ate oat covered banana off of this very table.  Perhaps, if he licks the glass just a bit harder, he'll still be able to taste it!

River decided to have a go as well.  I'm sure she's detecting the subtle aroma of glass cleaner and Simon hork from where she's standing, but it's best to lick the glass too--you know, just to be sure.

Bunny hopscotch.

River created a new game where she tosses the yellow cap then binkies over toys and other obstacles (like a lazy Simon bun) then nose bonks the yellow cap to finish.  I'm not sure how points are awarded, but at least the game is fun enough to keep her out of trouble.

They're pacing themselves.

Simon and River are moseying into the new year by taking frequent flop and snuggle breaks.  It's hard being little party animals, but somebun has to do it.
