After Saturday's acquittal of Trump, it would seem that certain members of our legislative branch of government (Congress) are fine with abdicating their responsibility to uphold their oath to 'support and defend our Constitution' by choosing party over country.

Well, I hope those people don't regret choosing party over country because that is a stain that's gonna last forever. Even if the ending was disappointing at least you can breath more freely now.

I don't suspect history will treat them kindly once all the investigations into Jan 6 wrap up and the court cases conclude for those arrested in connection to it. There's a lot of work to be done to undo the damage of the last 4 years. Hopefully, we'll come out stronger for it!
