Travel-sized drama.
While you humans were busy doing human things like driving, I've been hard at work digging all of my bedding to the front of the cage. I even have a wood chip stuck in my fur to show how productive I was![
Gasp!]
You took my wood chip! Now, I'm going to sulk and seriously consider peeing in your shoe when we get home.

She does all the hard work in this house and she doesn't get any recognition! Did she end up peeing your shoes?
Oh no that was probably her favorite woodchip! But I'm sure she'll take treats as compensation so it shouldn't be 'too' much bribing to keep her out of your shoes!

She definitely wore her wood chip with pride as though it was some sort of distinguished service medal. Thankfully, she thought noogies were an acceptable wood chip replacement and my shoes remain unmolested! :)
