All the shoes belong to River, everyone is just borrowing her shoes when they go outside and when the shoes start to wear out they have to repay what they borrowed by offering a new pair of shoes to River!
Who knew that a bunny could love shoes as much as River? You could consider her a shoe librarian--you can check them out to go outside, but you'd better return them or you'll be charged some steep treat and noogie fines! XD
