With the recent declaration by the World Health Organization of COVID-19 as a pandemic, please don't panic buy/hoard medical supplies. It prevents those who actually need them to survive from getting them (think of cancer patients, anyone who needs wounds treated, diabetics, and those who are immune-compromised).
Take a breath
and realize that you can only control so much, but what you CAN
control has a huge impact!
Hand washing, avoiding touching your face,
avoiding crowds when it isn't absolutely necessary, giving people space
so you aren't breathing down someone's neck, and if you are sick,
staying home from work/school/social functions/public transit until you
feel better. If you absolutely have to go out while you're sick, wear a mask or find a creative way of covering your nose and mouth so you
don't cough/sneeze on others.
You've got this--we believe in you!

Thank you, buns. I wish more people would listen to you.
People here are still raiding and hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizers like there's no tomorrow. And the other day in Madrid, two people almost smacked the head of an eighty (freaking 80!!) year old woman against the wall because she sneezed on the subway and didn't have time to cover herself. Thankfully people intervened. This mass hysteria is gonna be downhill for everyone and people don't seem to realise that.
Hi Mónica!
Aww, you're very welcome--hopefully it helps a bit!
In times of crisis, it's always important to look for the helpers and to try to be one ourselves. Just like in your comment, good people intervened. As long as there are people willing to do the right thing, there's hope for us yet!
