The best way to get the day started is with a nice morning nap! Simon must've stolen all the towels or at least the 'best' purple towel since River and Mr. Giraffe are napping on the rug, hopefully they can steal it back later in the day!
I think Mr. Giraffe wore himself out trying to convince River to eat her pellets. Maybe he'll have better luck after a nap! :)

She kinda stretch-belly flopped into the perfect nap position. Smart to point away from the sun. Usually, she enters into a game of napping chicken with the sunbeam because she strongly adheres to the stance that she was there first. XD

I'm pretty sure that River is going to use nap-time as a strategy session with Mr. Giraffe on how to take back the purple towel! ;)
