A change in perspective.

Naomi was so confused when I got on the floor to take this pic.  I'm sure she was thinking, "Oh, no--little human won the 'get low, get kisses game'!  Humans taste gross!"

I think she was relieved when I popped back up and gave her a noogie and banana chip for her moment of mental anguish.  All is right with her world again!

River:  Whatchu mean your hand's not made of noms?

Simon:  Told ya so!

Whenever I have to feed River by hand for a prolonged period of time (in this case just holding food steady for her or reminding her food exists), she starts thinking my hands are magic food dispensers.  I can't go near her without her snuffling every finger to make sure there isn't some tasty morsel for her to munch on!

Okay, so all I have to do is stick my foot in the hole at the top.  Wait--what are these dangle-y bits for? [sigh] Who knew shoes could be so complicated?!

River is looking at me like I just stole the sunbeam she was playing in.

"Did you take my sunshine away?"

Who could resist that sweet little face?  I may not be able to move clouds but I can certainly do the next best thing and flip on some lights.  Little human to the rescue!

Product placement?

The best part of waking up...is pellets in my cup!
It would seem my unconventional choice in pellet containers has Simon thinking that 'classic roast coffee' is a fancy name for pellets.

I thought River was up here.
Poor little Simon always gets tricked into hopping up on the couch and when he does, River will hop down at the exact same time.  He's always so confused whenever his playmate just disappears like that.  I swear she makes a game of it and never bothered to tell him the rules!

River isn't always confused, but when she is, it's due to a lack of oats when she expects them.
