Hoppy Halloween!

River is feelin' pretty sassy in her costume and is ready to go trick-or-treating!
Though Simon feels quite dapper with his top hat and monocle, he is uncertain of Mr. Pumpkin's intentions.

A Halloween pep talk.

"Mr. Pumpkin, we are going to conquer Halloween by getting all of the trick-or-treat candy!"
(River thinks it's a good idea to go into Beggars' Night with a battle plan.)

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Attack of the zombun!

Simon:  Braaaiins! [nom]
River:  Did...did you just nibble my head?!

We've decided that Simon is no longer allowed to watch scary Halloween movies because he is too impressionable.

Just. Act. Normal.

I'm half afraid to discover what bunny shenanigans Simon and River were getting up to this time.

Playing fair.

River:  How come we're out here and not sitting in the box?
Simon:  Mr. Giraffe was there first.

Bunny spa day.

After giving them both a thorough noogie-ing, River has melted into a puddle of bun and Simon is checking to see if she needs a treat as a pick-me-up.

Easy there, Mr. Crankypants!

I woke Simon up from his nap to get some exercise (he was being lazy).  This is the aftermath of the bunny temper tantrum that resulted.  He was looking for something else to throw.  Failing that, he gave me 'bunny butt'.  So much drama from such a little bun!

Decisions, decisions...

Red Peep: You could totally knock that wine glass over!  Just think of how much havoc one tiny hop and nose-bonk would cause.
White Peep:  I can't argue that tipping it over wouldn't be fun, but do you really want to be on Santa's 'naughty' list?

Sneaky snuggles!

Simon was mid-flop when River had a craving for some snuggles.  She quickly positioned herself so his head would be on top of hers and kisses would be imminent.

Mad skills.

Simon is impressed that River is so good at soccer that she can even play it in her sleep!
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Comin' in hot!

I caught the moment of transition where River went from full speed to flopped.  She skidded a bit, but otherwise stuck the landing.

Twinsies!

Simon and River tapped into the bunny hive-mind and mirrored each other.  It's kind of impressive how often I catch them doing it even when they can't see one another.

Sending hugs and comfort.

Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in Las Vegas.  We wish the injured a full and quick recovery and would like to thank all those who helped others in their time of greatest need.
I know that hearing about shootings on the news has sadly become an almost daily occurrence due mainly to gang violence or those with untreated mental health issues, but we all need to realize that just because something is common, it does NOT make it normal or acceptable.
Apathy to the situation will not solve this problem nor will hatred towards anyone dissimilar to ourselves.  The root causes of why people join gangs in the first place along with developing a health care system that makes mental health care available and affordable to everyone without any stigma attached needs to be addressed.  It is up to all of us to make this happen because as we've seen here, the problem doesn't just affect one person; it affects everyone they come in contact with.
