Where is he?!

Big human had to fly across country for work this morning.  When River woke up, the luggage and his shoes were gone.

She kept searching for the missing shoes (and her favorite human) in between thumping, staring at the door, staring at me, then back to the spot where the missing shoes should be.  I think she assumes I did something to make him go because I didn't help her form a search party.

[sigh]  Not quite sure how I'm going to communicate to her that he's coming back on Friday.

Well, that looks comfy!

River has the entire cage and living room to flop in and this is where she decides to nap.  She kinda looks like a fluffy letter 'L'!

Weird little bun!

This is now River's preferred method of eating pellets if I'm not holding the bowl for her like a proper bunny servant.

What?!  I wouldn't have to lean over like that if you'd just hold my pellet dish for me every time I'm feeling peckish.

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  Stay safe out there and we'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Speed eating grand champion!

Simon managed to snarf up two very large sprigs of parsley in the time it took me to grab my camera.  Looks like lemon balm is going to be a close second with spearmint getting a participation trophy!

Well, it's good to see that my gardening efforts are being appreciated.

Fort Awesome!

Nope!  Simon and River are totally not spoiled...at all. 😉

It's probably a good thing that Fort Awesome was 'decommissioned' years ago because I can only imagine the number of vet visits that would've ensued as they became elder buns re-living their bunder years.

Little troublemaker!

River jumped over the pillow barricade and landed into deep trouble.  Thankfully, she was just chinning all of the things to stake her claim instead of trying to chew on anything!

Gave us a scare!

Sorry for the late post.  River wasn't feeling too well around 11pm--breathing very fast, listless, and her little ears were very warm.  I ended up giving her a bit of pain reliever/fever reducer and made an ice bag to help her cool down.

This is her an hour later once the meds kicked in and shortly after binkying around the living room.  She ignored the offered blueberry (letting Mr. Giraffe guard it from Simon), but scarfed down a cranberry along with some oats and a few pellets.  Not sure what the issue was, but we'll keep an eye on her.  Could be that elder buns are a bit more sensitive to temperature increases (it was about 76 F indoors).

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  Stay safe out there and we'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Found photo.

I found an entire folder of photos from 2013 that I never posted, so here's a blast from the past of the little munchkins snuggling in our old apartment!

Got hay?

I caught Simon playing with his food again.  The game of 'capture the hay' turned into tug-of-war when I tried to get it out of his mouth.  I'll have to post the video of his shenanigans sometime next week when I get a chance.

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!   Stay safe out there and we'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Travel-sized drama.

While you humans were busy doing human things like driving, I've been hard at work digging all of my bedding to the front of the cage.  I even have a wood chip stuck in my fur to show how productive I was!

[Gasp! You took my wood chip!  Now, I'm going to sulk and seriously consider peeing in your shoe when we get home.

Bunnies with a plan.

Okay, so it's settled that we nap now and give kisses later.  There's no sense in giving kisses when somebun isn't even awake to appreciate them!

We're back!

Love makes even the toughest times a bit better.

Losing a parent is hard and I wanted to thank you all for your kind words and support over the past few weeks.

Mom would always get a chuckle out of Simon and River's antics, so I have to share one that was referenced in many a phone call after it happened.   Mom and I were about to hop off the phone one day when River apparently had strong opinions about something and decided to just start talking to herself...loudly.  Mom heard the weird combination of sounds in the background and mistook it for Big Human saying something.  It became a running joke from that point on that Big Human sounds like River.
