Just be kind.

With all of the violence we hear about almost daily, it's important to not lose sight that we can make this world a better place by being kind to those around us.  Petty differences (like how much melanin happens to be in our skin, where we come from, what our personal politics are, or what religion we practice or choose not to) really don't matter a bit if your aim is to be a good person by being kind to everyone you meet.  All I ask is for everyone reading this to please do something kind today.

Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in the shootings in Thornton, Colorado and Sutherland Springs, Texas.  We wish the injured a full and quick recovery and want to thank the first responders and everyone who helped others in their time of greatest need.

You know, people that laugh at others for being different to make them feel bad about themselves, people that go to the point of hating them and killing make me lose my faith in humanity. However when I see that there are still people who care, who are willing to give themeselves and fight to defend and help the others when they need it makes me feel hopeful. I wish a quick recovery to the injured and send a lot of love to those who have lost someone in the attack.

Thank you, Mónica. There are always going to be good people out there willing to help others. Some days they may be harder to find, but they're there. I hope your words can help bring others comfort.
