The bunnies sensed something strange was afoot, but the chance to play on the steps and explore upstairs was too great of a temptation to pass up. They were bamboozled into a nail clipping.
River looks like she is not surprised with this betrayal. Simon on the other hand has this face of 'How could you do this to me? I trusted you!' Did they accept their fate? or did they fight against it? (or run away and hide)
Well, once everybun was tricked into exploring the upstairs bathroom and I closed the door, both of them thumped at this ultimate betrayal. River did volunteer to go first by hopping in my lap once I had the towel down...Simon, not so much. The little guy kept trying to hide behind the big human even though he was the one with the clippers. I'm the designated catcher and hugger of buns, so I had to scoop him up since he refused to accept his fate. Everything went quickly after that and they both accepted the treats we offered, so it was a successful bunny mani-pedi! :)
