Where'd River go?!
She was in seclusion in the cuddle cube. She was not happy with having to get a vet visit, eye drops, and a force-feeding (all courtesy of little human). Poor little munchkin somehow managed to accidentally give herself an ouchie on her eyelid.
Yeah, River's doing better now--we found her in their bunny cave/cuddle cube! We think that she must've scratched her inner eyelid (third eyelid/nictitating membrane) while either cleaning her face or scratching at her cheek. It caused all of her lids to look red and inflamed within minutes and her eye was watering.
I was afraid of her getting an infection or doing some damage to the eye itself, so I took her and Simon to the vet for a check-up. The vet did a dye test to check that her cornea was ok--thankfully it was! I had to give her antibiotic eye drops for 5 days and force feed her since she stubbornly refused to eat/drink willingly (I'm guessing the medicine upset her stomach).
