Well, of course she is offended! This gate is blocking her way to a new adventure!! But I'm sure that River, being the smart bun she is, found an alternative way in.
River is definitely upset and offended because the baby gate is blocking her path to something she can chin or chew on and could also be implying that she is a baby!
You both are right on all counts! She eventually figured out how to thwart the baby gate much like Simon recently figured out how to open doors. She'd grab the side of the gate and yank it so it'd fall over...sometimes onto Simon, who was attempting to be an accountabilibun. The little dude deserved hazard pay for that! ;)
