Long day.

Poor little Amos is thinking that no amount of papaya bites will ever make this day okay.  Little fella is so done with everything that he just cleaned himself up a bit and took a nap.

Naomi is still gorked out of her skull on pain meds and is wondering if this is real life.  She eventually roused herself to eat some celery and romaine, so that was a huge relief!

I have pain meds (gabapentin) for both of them as well as critical care.  I'm hoping they'll both start eating and drinking well enough on their own to not need force-fed so I don't stress them out more than they have been.  The vet office will call me Friday morning to check up on the little munchkins and see if we need to make any changes to their care plan.

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

I'm glad they are both doing alright after surgery! Though Amos is so upset he just goes Mega Loaf on you! I would be too if someone took my berries. Naomi meanwhile is high as a kite up in the ninth dimension! I hope she doesn't trip too hard lol.

I'm glad that everything went well with the surgery and that they're both doing their best with their aftercare!

I'm sure that Naomi's experience with opening the doors of perception will definitely help inspire her future works of art! And poor Amos, must feel like something is missing, please let him know that he is still a brave and strong buck and that hasn't changed!

Hi Mónica and Tarosagi!
Aww, thanks--we are too!
The anesthesia hit them pretty hard and I had to force-feed them both every 2 hours on Friday and a bit on Saturday. They finally started eating and pooping more like normal on Saturday, which was a huge relief since both of them get feisty in different ways when it comes time for medicine or critical care.
The little munchkins are definitely going through some mood swings with the hormones and I'm sure not being able to run and play for a few days didn't help matters any. They're finally off the pain meds, so I can let them have some playtime without worrying they'll be uncoordinated or run amok and overdo it.
I'll give the brave little floofs a noogie and treat for you both! :)
