Naomi got spooked by something and was about to bolt back to her cage when Amos came over and started giving her kisses. She's all kinds of conflicted--still a bit scared, but the kisses are nice.
Poor Naomi, it must have been something really scary and stressful for her. I'm glad Amos was close by and that he has a huge heart and empathy. I wonder if he sensed that something was off. Did she calm down?
Hi Mónica and Tarosagi! It's hard to tell what spooks her sometimes. We think that her eyesight may not be the best, so if something got moved out of what she considers its normal place, that would be enough to cause her to thump and run away. It is funny how her initial reaction is to run for her life, but after a few moments, she'll pluck up her courage and army crawl back to where she was to investigate.
Amos really is a sweet little fella and is all about giving the kisses and snuggles to help calm her down. He's watched me enough times after one of her thump-at-nothings as I bring her random objects from the living room in hopes of figuring out what it was and help her realize it's just something as innocuous as big human's shoe or a piece of mail hanging off the end table. Lots of noogies, gentle words, and assurances make everything better (no treats because I don't want her to associate thumping with getting food).

I've never known Naomi to be afraid of anything! I'm glad that Amos was there to provide comfort and kisses for her!
So if Amos is there to help her in these trying moments, she'll be unstoppable!
