Late night bun party.

Poor little Amos was having some tummy troubles because of a heavy shed and his inability to not groom somebun constantly (if it isn't himself, he's giving Naomi a new hare-style). He was a tiny loaf of sadness after getting some tummy medicine, a force-feeding, and some serious brushing, so I tried to lift his spirits with a late night bun party with his two besties, Mr. Giraffe and Spike (Naomi wasn't invited because her idea of 'helping' would be to race around the living room and trample our sad little speed-bump).

After a second round of tummy medicine, lots of tummy rubs and noogies, and watching a few PBS episodes of Nova, Amos perked back up and started hopping around and making up for lost playtime. He finally munched part of a bunny cookie, chowed down on some romaine, and ate a bit of hay around 3 AM. Yay--eat the food!!! 🌿🐇

Thankfully, he's feeling a lot better today and has been munching happily on everything I've offered him. It's good to see him acting like his old self again!

Oh my poor sweet boy! It must have been really stressing for you all... I'm happy everything's alright now. Amos is so much of a good boy to his peers he got sick from over grooming!

Poor little baby, he looks like such a sad little potato because of his tummy troubles!

Hooray for his speedy recovery! Looks like the company of his friends and some nice tummy rubs after taking icky medicine made him feel better, just what the doctor ordered!

Hi Mónica and Tarosagi!
Aww, thanks! It makes me so happy to see the little fella eating again. He and Naomi are happily munching on some celery as I type this! I think it was a combination of heavy shedding and a possible sensitivity to mint (he had another short bout of tummy issues not long after getting a couple sprigs last night). So, no mint for Amos tonight and we'll see how things go. It's an odd thing to be food sensitive to, but Simon had issues with oats, so anything is possible.

Also, I've been bribing/training them both to get used to being brushed/plucked by giving a small bunny cookie as a reward. Things are going swimmingly! I'm waiting for one of them to bring me the brush so they can get a cookie, because nothing would surprise me at this point. XD
