The best stuff is on top...or the bottom depending on their height.
I swear that making Amos and Naomi hay bags was one of my better ideas. It really cuts down on wasted hay (keeps it from getting bunny fluff and litter funk all over it). Also, keeping the bags elevated like this has prevented the little munchkins from trying to climb into them.
Not too shabby for using up some quilting fabric I had no other use for!

That's an amazing use of remaining fabric tbh. Also, Naomi dear God every time I see her close to Amos her sheer size amazes me! I guess she has easy access to the greater stuff!
Look at the size difference between the two of them!! And that hay bag is a great design there's multiple openings where both Amos and Naomi can both reach without them fighting over the same one!
Hi Mónica!
Aww, thanks! Lol--it is funny how certain poses really show off lanky she is compared to Amos' fun-sized self. XD
Hi Tarosagi!
I know, right?!
I was lucky to stumble across someone selling hay bags online that I could figure out a pattern for and alter a bit (double up the fabric to make more sturdy, add a top flap and velcro ties) to make work for their sizes and cage dimensions.
I think Naomi shows off her ability to get the top hay while still sitting. Little Amos has to get on his tippy-toes or lean out of his litter box to pull from the top of the bag! XD
