Hey, Simon--I found the treats!

The bun's dilemma.

If Simon sits there, all of the oats and carrot chips will be his, but he can't run around the living room and play.  If he goes to run and play, somebun else could take all of the oats and carrot chips.  What's a bun to do?

Oooh--me too!

[Simon frantically races over]  Don't worry, little fella.  Everybun gets a treat!

I can't believe Simon and River are 7 years old! 

In other news:  As I was saving this pic to my computer, I finally got the dreaded warning that I'm low on disk space.  Not gonna lie--that's a lot of bunny pics over the past 7 years.  I'll have to do some serious photo culling soon.  The upshot is that if I come across any hidden gems, you'll be treated to a trip down memory lane with me! 

Doesn't matter, had carrots.

River was a bit conflicted that Simon kinda fell into the classic bunny stereotype of choosing the (dehydrated) carrots over their other treats of oats and cranberries, but agreed that they were delicious and that he should be sharing that bag with her!

It's good to know that the bunnies like my cooking, but honestly, don't just feed bunnies carrots--they're a treat due to their sugar content.

Cranberries!

I NEEEEED THEM!!!
I give the bunnies a treat after each playtime if they behave themselves.  River caught the scent of the dried cranberries I set on top of her cage and is trying to treat herself.

They grow up so fast.

This is the dramatic waiting game between hearing/smelling the dried cranberry container opening and the sweet bliss of a mouthful of yummy goodness.  Patience is not a virtue bunnies possess.

Simon and River's 4th Birthday!

They really could be twins with the look of disbelief they gave me at not letting them eat ALL of the treats at once.  It's their special day, but I don't want them to get a special tummy ache as an after-party.  They accepted my portion control when I told them they'd have treats for the week.
