Thankfully, River loves shoes so much that she'd never deface them (especially her favorite big human's shoes)! She mostly just presses her muzzle all over the laces (kinda looks like she's kissing them) and then chins the top of the heel so every bun the big human comes across outside knows that he's already taken.
