Don't scare us like that!

River has acquired a new nick-name:  Lazarus Bun.
She really had us convinced we were losing her last Thursday.  Then, in typical River fashion, told Death, "Not today.  I do what I want!"
I can't tell you how much of a happy surprise that was!  Naturally, many snuggles and treats ensued.

Oh no! I'm so happy that River is feeling better. She makes every day better for me because she's in it, even if it's just pictures. Sending lots of love your way, River.

Poor baby! I know how painful and agonizing it is when your pet is in that state, there are no words to describe that fear. I glad to know everything turned out fine, what did she have?

Hi Anon and Mónica!

Aww, thank you--that's so sweet of you to say. I'm glad our little munchkin has had a positive impact on the world by making your day a bit brighter. I gave her lots of noogies for you! :)

Very well said and thank you. We think that River had a TIA or mini-stroke judging by how she was acting. I couldn't get her to sit up, her balance was gone, and her limbs were locked-in. I gave her aspirin in some simethicone (the latter to help coat her stomach) and either the clot dislodged on its own or the aspirin helped to break it up. She's recovered pretty well and aside from a little bit of wobble on her feet when she picks up speed, she's back to as normal as a geriatric bun can expect to get after what she just went through.
