Accidents happen.

Poor Simon had an unfortunate run-in with his door and tore his 'thumb' nail to the quick.  If you ever find yourself in need of stopping bleeding, plain corn starch will act as styptic powder and is safe to use on bunnies.  His nail wasn't even long, it was just dumb luck how he placed his paw.
So, it never hurts to keep bunny first aid supplies at the ready and common pantry items can fill that need.

Oh no! Poor Simon...get well soon! On a lighter note, will he be getting unlimited treats as part of his recovery?

Dear Simon Bun,

I saw what you did! Ouchie! I'm sorry you tore your nail! I will be sure to place something extra in your stocking to make up for the pain.

By the way, I have news! I, along with the Easter Bunny; the Toof Fairy; the Great Pumpkin; etc have formed a new company called Universal Holidays Incorporated so we can better coordinate gifts. We now have one big gigantic database so we know what gifts were given to which person to prevent giving them the same thing twice! We also know instantly who has been naughty and who has been nice.

Helpful Elf says hello and Mrs. Claus says you should come with us to the tropics when we vacation next! We were unable to go this year because of covid19 so I did not have to sweat it out. That is probably the only positive thing anyone can say about covid19!

Anyway, you and River remain very good buns and I will see what I can do about making you Presibun. Your PAC Nanas for America is up and ready.

Love,

Santa Paws

Hi Anon, Mónica, and Santa Paws!

Aww, thanks--he's doing much better now and treats are definitely helping to speed up his recovery. ;)

He's a tough little fella and didn't make a fuss at all when it happened. He was just standing in a growing puddle of his own blood while munching on a mouth full of pellets as I lifted him from his cage to patch him up (it was a breakfast injury--he got too excited for pellets). I do wonder about his priorities sometimes...

Aww, that would be much appreciated! Sounds like a great idea--you gotta love innovation and streamlining. Hello to Helpful Elf! I think Simon would prefer your idea of a vacation spot compared to Mrs. Claus'...especially somewhere that doesn't have seagulls (they're scary). Sounds like a plan and thank you for any help you can give--we need all the help we can get come election time! :)

I love how he's looking in the mirror, almost as if to say "Oh jeez Simon, look what you did now." Adorable

Hi Anon!

Aww, thanks--I'll give the little munchkin a noogie for you! He was doing his best to 'out of sight, out of mind' his front paws so we'd stop checking up on him. :)
