The un-bunnies' refusal to move thwarted River's attempt to hop onto the end table.  Thus began the feud between River and the un-bunnies.  So much rabbitude and bunny butt! 😂

Wait a minute...

This isn't a cranberry!

That moment of realization came after taking a big old chomp out of the romaine leaf.  I think she's contemplating if it's worth it to attempt spitting the lettuce out or just roll with it.  Can't always be candy, little one!

Where is she going now?

A brother's work is never done!  Simon looks ready for a nap, but his accountabilibunny instincts have kicked in.  River has decided upon shenanigans.

Bunny logic.

Simon:  They can't see me because I can't see them!

River:  Neat--I always wanted to be a cloaking shield!

I choose you!

Looks like River chose the cranberry over the raisin this time.  It's good to have options!

Weekend shenanigans.

I love how River is trying to play it cool while Simon and           Mr. Giraffe finalize whatever plans they were cooking up.

I realized that I have a ridiculous number of pics of Simon and River together that I've never posted, so I'll start posting more of them than just the once a week throwback Thursdays.

Big human steps in when Mr. Giraffe and Scoots McGee aren't able to keep the little munchkin occupied while I clean her cage.  She still seems to think my hands are made of candy, so she's constantly trying to shove her face in them! 😂

Little quilting assistant.

I just finished hand sewing the first four panels of Mom's memory quilt and her grandbunny, River, has given it her chinning of approval!  (The navy blue pieces are from her 52 year old wedding dress.)

Mom loved the ocean and since her clothes were nondescript, I decided to draft the designs of the birds and seashells.

Here's all of the panels laid out.  The appliqué is tacked down with school glue stick and needs to be sewn to the panels yet (one of each type is completely finished). The solid colors of the birds, border, hearts, seaweed, and shells are cut from the clothes of hers I had to work with.  The finished quilt will be 55 x 65 inches.

I have a lot of hand sewing to do yet and as this is my first quilt, I'm learning as I go!  It's a good thing River is patient.

Easter out-take.

This pic made me laugh when I noticed how serious River looks.  It's like she's a club owner surveying who she wants to let into her basket party, Scoots McGee looks like a bouncer in the background, and then there's polite old Mr. Giraffe patiently waiting to be let in.  I guess you could say the Easter basket was a hoppin' spot that night!

I have no idea how River managed to lay her neck on the ground like that to get the kisses, but she certainly is flexible for an       11 year old!

Sometimes River will only eat her greens if I'm holding them for her.  Not sure what I'm adding to the experience, but I'm here for it!
