Bunny bonding Day #5

Today's bonding session had Amos trying his hardest to get kisses from Naomi.  He was the clear winner of the 'get low, get kisses' game multiple times, but Naomi was holding out on him.

Then Amos had the genius idea to flop like this.  Naomi found his cuteness irresistible and finally gave the little fella some kisses.  We're going to have to work on her gentleness with the kisses because she was licking him hard enough to move him a bit, but kisses are kisses and Amos was happy enough to fall asleep like this.  Naomi showed a lot of personal growth by hopping off to go exploring instead of trying to wake him up like she usually would.

Amos, of course gave Naomi lots of kisses too!

Bunny bonding Day #4

The little munchkins seem to be bonding well and are learning to get along with one another (including being able to do their own thing while the other is napping).

Bunny bonding Day #3

Today, there were lots of snuggles...

And kisses...

And shenanigans...

And a video!  Amos and Naomi's bonding is going very well and they were together for an hour without any drama.  Hooray!

Bunny bonding Day #2

Naomi is a bit uncertain about this whole bonding stuff.

Amos is being a lil' weird.  Not sure what he hopes to accomplish burrowing into Naomi's side like that.

Most of this playtime saw Amos following Naomi around like a little brother trying to get his big sister's attention.  If he wasn't acting like her personal shadow, he was inserting himself in whatever she was doing at the time.  Apparently, the one inch gap beneath the door to the utility room was the only barrier to bunny Disneyland! 

Failing to gain entry to their own personal amusement park, Amos decided that it would be a good idea to dig at and nip Naomi's side while she was flopped.  This is him sulking after being scolded by me and nipped on the butt by Naomi for his rudeness.  Not sure how he expected that to go well for him.

The bonding session ended on a high note with a snuggle flop and ear hug!

Bunny bonding Day #1

Amos:  I get the need for neutral territory, but it's boring in here.

Naomi:  Speak for yourself--I'm gonna claim all the things!

Amos:  Well, at least we have Mr. Giraffe and Spike to play with!

Naomi:  I wonder if I can hop onto the counter from here.  I bet there are so many things to claim up there!

Naomi:  Yay--Big human noogies!

Amos:  I want noogies too!

A quick bunny snuggle before I let them back into their cages for a well deserved banana chip for being so good today.  We'll try giving them more time together tomorrow and see how things go.

Looks like my weekend plans are going to include some stronger bunny-proofing!

Box is love, box is life!

Not only can you nom on the box, you can push it around the room like a Hot Wheels car.  Naomi also seems to be pretty convinced that the stripes on the box make it go faster.

When I saw Amos like this, I had to grab my phone to take a quick pic.  As soon as Naomi noticed that he was sound asleep, she immediately set to trying to wake him up.  That little girl is physically incapable of letting a sleeping Amos lie.  No wonder the little fella is exhausted!

Baby zoomies!

Naomi was around 9 weeks old here and small enough she could run into the tunnel without hitting the dangle ball.  Now, she ends up moving the tunnel itself as she races through it! 🤣
