Access denied!

We had to get creative to prevent Naomi from pulling the baby gate down on herself.  Big human put a 20 pound dumbbell inside the hamper when she tried to push it out of her way.

Fun fact #1:  Naomi is actually lanky enough that she can put her chin on the rim of the hamper when she's not standing flat-footed.

Fun fact #2:  It has not yet occurred to her to jump over the baby gate.

Testing the perimeter.

There's a door here.  Help me figure out how to open it!

Shush, Trippy Peep--I could totally jump over this barrier if I wanted to!  I just don't want to right now with the little human watching me.

I could totally make this jump!  I wonder what's behind this tiny wall?

Yeah, that's a banister and is why Naomi is never allowed to be left unsupervised at Grandpa's house. Thankfully, a loud clap and a sharp, "No, leave it!" are enough to prevent this particular type of chaos.

Little troublemaker!

Amos is hard at work blazing a trail under the loveseat!  He is also the first bunny we've had that figured out that you can just pull the towel towards you to get under there.

Working in shifts.

Amos and Naomi won't stop trying to thwart my bunny proofing even if it takes them all vacation to do it!

Third time's a charm!

Yay--I finally found the correct configuration to bunny proof that area!!! 🥳

Amos is rushing to help Naomi defeat my bunny proofing attempt.  It's a bit of a switch to see her on her tippy-toes for once.

This is Amos helping.  I guess he makes a pretty good armrest, so he's got that going for him!  I appreciate that Naomi didn't use him as a step stool.

A quiet moment.

Naomi is seeking legal counsel from Mr. Giraffe, Esq. concerning how much trouble she'd get into if she managed to evade containment and go downstairs to visit grandpa...and explore the rest of the house.

Amos has decided to forego legal advice and is going with the 'better to beg forgiveness than ask permission' approach to vacation home exploration.

Double trouble!

The little munchkins decided that teamwork was needed to overcome my second attempt at bunny proofing grandpa's guestroom.

I love how this pic shows their size difference!  Amos is on his tippy-toes while Naomi is flat-footed and he still only comes up to her shoulders.

Testing the perimeter for weaknesses.

Looks like my weekend plans are going to include some stronger bunny-proofing!

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Bunny curiosity.

We really were lucky that the builders of our last apartment took bunny proofing seriously!  You just know that baby Simon would've tried to stick his tongue in the socket and discover that electricity tastes like purple.

Play it cool.

We're just two little bunnies who would never even think of messing with the delectable [ahem!] delightful bright colored electric vine thingy...honest!

Little stowaways.

We had wondered where Simon and River had gotten off to, then we received this photo.
The crew of the ISS also mentioned that bunny fur does in fact clog the air filters and they're now scrambling to bunny-proof their cable management.
The bunnies are in good spirits and are confident they've made the right choice given the current state of things planet-side.

Just checking!

Simon was looking for openings in my bunny proofing to exploit.  I'm happy to report that for the first time in 7 years, no bunnies managed to escape their basement playroom or manage to wiggle their way into the bunny-free zone!

The negotiator.

Have you ever considered not getting into trouble?  I mean, I'm not talking about a lifetime commitment here...just give it a try and see how it goes.

Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend!  We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

I demand satisfaction!

Behold:  A ticked-off hippity-hop!
We were visiting family and River managed to get behind the blue container (which my initial bunny-proofing failed to prevent).  After some intense bunny wrangling, I successfully blocked off her path to Narnia.
For the rest of our 10 day trip, every time she caught sight of this injustice she would let loose an angry 'meep!' followed by a thump and death glare at me.
The little munchkin can hold a grudge!
