Oh.
I feel bad for causing these looks of bunny confusion and disappointment.
Simon and River thought the camera in my hands was their oat scoop so they stood up to beg for treats.
This pic was snapped at the moment they figured out what I was actually holding as they slowly lowered themselves back to the ground. It's like they're both saying, "I thought she had oats."
Not to worry--I restored their faith in me by giving them treats and noogies!

Is it Friday yet?
Uncontrolled cuteness just saps the energy right out of you!
Simon and River are hoping that if they look tired enough, I'll give them some oats and banana to help power them through the rest of the week.

Oats are not an open action item.
Simon and River have a meeting of the minds to decide how they should go about getting more oats. Cuteness has always worked in the past, but it never pays to become complacent. Oats are at stake here!

The quest continues...
The bunnies are putting their heads together to try and find more oats. Surely there must be some in this old oat container!
Sadly, no oats were to be found. Simon is content to patiently stare at the oat container waiting for oats to appear while River is being a bit more productive with her time.
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you have a great weekend! We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.

Highway robbery.
Psst! Hey, Simon--tell the little human that she can't pass until she gives us oats!
Somehow, I don't think they're emulating Robin Hood by robbing oats from the rich to give to the poor.

Let's play a guessing game!
Guess what we want!
If you guessed 'oats'...you're correct!
They really can't make it more obvious, can they? I'm sure that the scoop was coated in bunny hork by the time I noticed them hovering around the oat container.

Our bunnies are oat junkies.
The bunnies took it upon themselves to strip the oat container of its label. I think they figured that the picture of oats on it would taste like actual oats...
They discovered that the photo was but a poor imitation of oat yumminess. River looks a bit derpy in this pic while Simon looks personally insulted by this oat trickery.
He decided to go directly to the source and attempt to eat the lid off of the oat container. This resulted in the container being placed out of reach and a scolding that plastic isn't good for bunnies...
Not to be deterred, he decided to knock the oat scoop onto the ground and lick it clean of any possible oat residue that ever dreamed of being on there.
River decided this was a great idea! Simon is patiently waiting for seconds.
The oat scoop, being thoroughly coated in bunny hork, has now taken on a reflective sheen. River appears to be scolding me for not giving them actual oats when it was clear that they wanted some. Simon just looks depressed that he didn't get a second chance to lick the oat scoop.

They're trying to tell me something.
We really can't make this any clearer, human. We want oats now.
Simon is the one who knocked the oat container over while River took it upon herself to repeatedly jump back and forth over it like some bizarre bunny semaphore.

OATS!
Don't let the quick oats can fool you--it's loaded with old fashioned oats (aka: the good stuff, bunny crack 2.0). It took me a while to figure out why River was sitting in Simon's cage looking like she's giving him instructions. They've figured out that they only get the oats when they're in their cages, so it stands to reason that one of them must be in a cage to get the oats. The other is tasked with figuring out how the can works. It looks like Simon is pretty sure that the measuring scoop is the ticket to yummy oat goodness.
Simon managed to knock the oat can over and the scoop is non-functional. It looks like they've decided that River is the one to get the oat can open. Again, one bunny is in the cage and one is outside. Too bad she's working on the wrong end.
Apparently, bunny patience comes with a fairly short time limit. They've dispensed with normal oat receiving protocol and have decided to tag-team the oat can. If they roll the can back and forth, surely the oats will come out. They won't even be picky and require the scoop...oats are just as good straight off of the floor! The 5 second rule won't even need to be applied because the oats won't be around for that long.
I do have to give the person who engineered that oat container credit for the cap to stay on given all of the abuse the bunnies have put it through. Bravo good sir or madam! On that note, I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday!

Teamwork.
There may be no "I" in teamwork, but you can spell "oat". We recently switched from quick oats to the old fashioned variety and found out that the latter is like bunny crack 2.0 (as evidenced by this pic).
