Simon:  I'm just saying that you're developing an unhealthy attachment to shoes.
River:  I am not!  You're just jealous that all of the shoes are mine...and any future shoes will also be mine.
Mr. Giraffe:  I'll be over here minding my own business and hoping they forget that I exist.  I don't want to touch this argument with a 10-foot pole!

River was channeling her inner bunny slipper.  I've never seen a bun love shoes as much as she does!

Why's it always me?

I think you should be asking what Simon is up to instead of

what I'm doing to your shoes.

River forgets that Simon is not good at distractions because he will look worried and give the plan away before any mischief can be managed.

Our little slipper thief hard at work.  River really seems to think that she can yank the slipper off of her favorite human to claim it for herself.

Looks like River's found her happy place.  She really is the most shoe loving bunny we've ever had!

River doesn't understand why bunnies can't have shoes of their own, so she's commandeering this pair until further notice.

He took my spot!

River is a bit jealous that Simon managed to sit in the missing shoes spot before she could.  After all, he knows that she just loves shoes and it is the best place to check out all the shoes because you're surrounded by them!
I wish I could've caught the next instant because they looked like a pair of mismatched bunny slippers as they sat side by side amongst the shoes.  I think Simon realized his error and beat feet out of there pretty quick.

This is the look River gave me just after being scolded for trying to "play" with the big human's shoes.  By play, I mean snag one and run off with it while holding it for a ransom of treats.
