No, you can't have a sip.

River was fascinated by the slice of lime floating in my vodka tonic and had to investigate.  Both Simon and River are attracted to the smell of lime, but are utterly surprised (and disgusted) by its taste.  You can almost see the gears turning in their little heads--how can something smell so sweet and yummy and taste so gross?!
I moved the drink right after I took this pic because River looked as if she was preparing to nose-bonk it over to "rescue" the lime slice.  She has a short memory about how limes taste.

Simon thought my drink was too "girly" and decided to beg for a sip of my husband's beer.  He was met with disappointment, but did get a back rub out of it (so it wasn't a total loss).
On that note, we hope you have a great weekend and if you drink, please drink responsibly.  Remember, don't give any alcohol to bunnies because they don't drink responsibly--if you don't believe me, here's proof.  We'll be back on Monday!

Is River still in the Coke box?

Yep.  How do I know?  Check out the white tuft of fur sticking out of the box's cut-out handle.

River was in the Coke box first, then Simon decided to join the party.  Now the poor Coke box is all sorts of wonky looking and I'm questioning River's ability to breathe in there if I can't see her face.

With a little helping hand, I've secured an airway for her.  Simon is not as small as he thinks he is (even if he is about 90% bunny fluff).

River looks slightly disturbed that Simon keeps using her bum as a pillow/bolster.

I have no idea what caught his attention, but the little bunny mouth hanging open is comical.

River is boldly going where no bunny has gone before.  I think she's contemplating how best to scale my husband's shoulders to perch on top of his head.  This is one little bunny that loves to climb!

Here she is trying to convince Simon to join her since there's plenty of room and the view is spectacular.  Simon respectfully declined saying that he didn't feel particularly adventurous that day.  He was content to nose-bonk my husband's knee and hop off to play in their bunny condo.

Sometimes I forget that the bunnies don't seem to remember that feet and legs are things that are connected to us and not just a part of the scenery or something fun to climb on.  Their utter shock and surprise at a moving foot is hilarious!

Here's to all the dads who were patient enough to help us find out what we were good at.  Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and we hope you have an awesome holiday!  To everyone else, we hope you have a great Sunday too!

Another plan bites the dust.

Simon's thinking that they're making great progress on their plan to dig to China.  While River looks like she's just had the epiphany that their progress will only end with their digging into the apartment below ours.

Well, at least they came to that realization before they hit carpet.  They're taking a 5 minute break to regroup and come up with a better plan.

Sorry for the late post--we had some really bad storms and a tornado in the area that took down the local cable lines until just now.  I've never seen a tree get blown horizontal before and hope to never do so again.  The bunnies and I were camped out in an interior room without power for a bit, but everything's fine now.

It's always best to have the higher ground and a low center of gravity.
Simon and River were having a minor dispute over who should get dibs on the towel and it turned into a shoving match.  River won this round and Simon narrowly avoided rolling over.

I woke up to find Simon rearranging his cage.  I'm honestly impressed that he managed to flip his litter box sideways without completely spilling the contents.  Here he is showing me how awesome he is at interior decorating.

After moving his litter box back to its original position, Simon got a bit of an attitude and decided to show me exactly what he thought of me rearranging his room. 
I can't decide if he looks way too proud of himself for moving his toilet towards the center of his cage or if he's challenging me to move it back again.  I suppose I should be glad that he didn't decide to do anything other than sit there and stare at me.

What?!

I can totally fit in here!

Simon is looking a bit derpy as his feet slowly slide out from under him.  I don't even know where he got that little bit of cardboard in his mouth from because it isn't from the Pepsi box.  Oh well, at least he looks happy.
