Simon spied with his little eye...my coffee mug! His radar ears cracked me up as he came over to try and sneak a taste. I distracted him with a noogie while I rescued my mug.
I'm glad our little goofball could make you laugh! Simon really was braver than usual that day. Even being as food-motivated as he is, he tends to be far more cautious and will army crawl towards unfamiliar things. I'm guessing he took a page out of River's book and went full 'adventure bun' mode. I had to protect the coffee! Normally hot drinks don't appeal to them, but it must've smelled magical for him to be drawn to it like that. :)
