What are we looking at, Mr. Giraffe?
It was cute--River just hopped up next to him and kept looking at him and then in the direction he was pointed and back again.

She really looks for opportunities to communicate with her deafness, which is totally understandable. I know Simon realizes that she is different and protects her as his little sister/friend but even he can be clueless as to what she's thinking. She is very demonstrative with 'pointing' with her eyes if she's being more subtle and will move on to her whole head and then body/paws to indicate what she's trying to get your attention drawn to. River really does take joy in following any hand signals I come up with for her to follow because she knows she's communicating/problem solving and is being understood. :)
