Yeah, Simon definitely was resigned to his fate (I kind of imagined him giving a long-suffering sigh just before impact). I think River only just realized she was about to hit him when his little fluffy butt came into her peripheral vision.
It's a good thing that they're never angry at the other bun when they collide with one another (it happens a lot). I think they just apologize in a look like, "Oooh, sorry about that! Are you okay?! Oh, good--here's some kisses." Bunny collision insurance would be through the roof if they didn't have a very generous accident forgiveness policy with the bunny kisses! :)

Simon looks resigned, but taking a closer look at River's face I think she 'feels' what is about to happen and she's kinda "oh no..."
