It always cracks me up when they synchronize like they really have a schedule to keep! Simon is definitely having an easier time with his foot than River is with her bib/bunny chub.
Hands off of my Simon bun! He doesn't want your yucky medicine.
Good thing the little guy is feeling better and I don't have to deal with Simon's body guard.
Simon was not a fan of the thunderstorms and howling wind this weekend and even less a fan of getting medicine. Clearly, no amount of treats will make this indignity okay.
Yeah, this is an older pic that was taken before I realized that Simon was hopping into River's cage to help himself to any uneaten pellets in her food dish.
Thanks for visiting the blog and we hope you all have a great weekend! We'll be back with more bunny cuteness on Monday.
Whenever Simon and River get this 'you and me against the world' look, you know they're discussing some serious bun stuff.
I can only imagine that it centers around acquiring more treats...or world domination. If you don't see a post tomorrow, it was the latter and it would be super cool if you could send help. 😅
This is what happens whenever River sees me giving Simon a tummy rub. She does a dramatic flop and looks over to make sure she has my attention. What a little goofball!
Sometimes all you need is a hug!

I came across a few folders worth of playtimes past that I apparently never posted. This was just prior to the landlord replacing the flooring with wood and we were moving the entire living room elsewhere in the apartment. So, here's some belated bunny cuteness!
River: Well, we did a good job horking up the mirror. Do you want to call it a day? Simon: I don't know. I still have some playtime left in me. River: The little human has collected our purple towels, so you only have a few options:
1) Use the wood floor as a slip-n-slide.
2) Make the little human chase you around like yesterday.
3) Cranberry.
Simon: Ugh, don't remind me! Guess I'll go with the third option.
[thump] You weren't supposed to follow the little human and hop back in your cage for treats. I was having fun!
There was a bit of end of playtime drama last night where River took the hint after I put all of their toys away and followed my hand signals to go back in her cage. Simon had to be bunny-wrangled after his temper tantrum.
It's good to know that whenever River decides to make a break for the kitchen, all I have to do is crack the bathroom door open a bit and she will always walk right into my trap.
This has saved me from sooo many knocked over houseplants and her playing musical chairs underneath our dining table!
River:Nooo! I get to say hello to Mr. Hoppy-pants first. Oh, look--he has a little tail! Simon: [Jealousy intensifies. Tries to sneak under River's chin to say hello too.] River:You're gonna knock him over! Simon:HI! [Nose-bonks the back of Mr. Hoppy-pants' head making him face-plant.] ...Uh, sorry about that.
Giraffe's Log, Day 869: Though I have not yet revealed the full scope of my abilities, the striped bunny known as Simon is beginning to suspect something. If the fluffy one only knew how integral he and his sister are to the time-line!
River decided that the best way to get more kisses was to position herself right in Simon's path. Not sure if she's bracing herself for more kisses or if she's really embracing the role of 'speed bump'.
