After all these years, River still believes that my hand magically produces candy. Her curiosity about what's in my hand is also responsible for me not being able to wear my engagement ring around her because she'll try to take that too.
She's persistent because she hopes that Shrodinger's candy will turn out to exist! The only way to find out is to look, and so she'll always check your hand for delicious sweets!
You're both right! I should really look at the benefits of River's fascination with my 'magic hands'--mainly it involves summoning her from a distance if I just move my to ground level. XD
